FELIX MITCHEL

Felix Mitchell has been an influential figure at the University of McCordsville for the past few decades. His extensive career in higher education is marked by a commitment to academic excellence, innovative research, and fostering a vibrant learning environment for students and faculty alike.

Felix Mitchell is also a Professor in the School of Education, where he teaches courses on educational policy, leadership, and community development. He is affiliated with the following programs:

• Educational Policy and Leadership (PhD)

• Community and Educational Development (MA)

• Sociology of Education (PhD)

• International Comparative Education (MA, PhD)

He explores how educational systems can both empower and marginalize, particularly in underserved communities. His research aims to develop strategies that promote equitable access to quality education for all students, regardless of their socioeconomic background.

His current research projects include: exploring educational equity, community engagement in education, policy analysis and technological Integration.

Throughout his tenure, Dean Felix has led numerous initiatives aimed at addressing disparities in education. He has worked closely with local schools and community organizations to implement programs that support underrepresented students. His efforts have been instrumental in reducing the achievement gap and enhancing the overall educational experience at the University of McCordsville.
